The role
The Bexhill and Battle foodbank is seeking a couple of people to join their team of amazing volunteers, driving for the foodbank. Primarily in Bexhill, but sometimes you’d head out to Battle or the rural villages.
What’s involved?
Are you available a few times a month to volunteer on weekday mornings? You can suit yourself with exact timings, but the shift is normally 2-3 hours long.
Perhaps you have a friend who’d like to volunteer with you as a driver’s mate, too?
You need to be able to lift crates of food (but you can choose how full they are), deliver bags of shopping, and move our stock between sites. We might ask you to buy some food from the supermarket, or unload what you have picked up. The role is varied, and you join an amazing team. You need a clean driving license and be comfortable driving a small manual van.
