Become a member
Voluntary organisations active in Rother are invited to become members of Rother Voluntary Action (RVA).
To become a member organisations should be not for profit, and should meet, or be working towards, RVA’s membership eligibility criteria: These include
- having a governing document
- having a decision-making committee
- if holding funds, having a bank account with at least two signatories.
- if a CIC (community interest company) having at least three unrelated, unpaid directors.
- being committed to equal opportunities
- working for the benefit of people, places or nature in the Rother area
RVA membership is free and includes:
- regular e-bulletins
- access to information services
- inclusion in the online directory
- support with volunteers and funding
- advice on running an organisation
- discounted meeting rooms
- equipment loans
- opportunity to vote at RVA’s AGM and nominate a trustee
