Trustee Templates

Below you will find useful templates collated by the Get on Board Website for supporting charity Trustees, which has a wealth of resources, training and template policies. We have selected a few you might helpful below [click to download]:

Governance Health Check

RVA’s Governance health check is a self-assessment tool helping you to reflect on the effectiveness of your board.

How meetings are run, the make-up of the board, the skills you have access to, your own personal journey as a trustee. Hopefully this will help you celebrate your strengths and highlight a few areas for improvement.

By supplying your email, you will get a copy of your answers shortly after completing the survey for your reference. RVA will not see your individual answers but will see the polled results from all respondents to help us target training, the development of resources and events to the needs of local trustees.

The DBS process demystified

This free online video of training provided by Zoë Harris at SELCS advises about

  • types of DBS checks
  • when they are required
  • how they should be applied

SELCS provides low cost DBS checks using a virtual process, following government guidance. Volunteer DBS checks are free, with a £6 admin charge – lower than many other DBS providers. email info@selcs.co.uk for more information.

Alternatively, if you are an employee and you are looking for a basic DBS check, you can get it done through the Government website at a cost of £18.
