This 2.5 hrs virtual workshop is aimed at volunteers and staff who work with adults with care and support needs, who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice and in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
By the end of this course it is anticipated you will be able to:
- Identify different types of abuse and neglect
- Know how to recognise signs of abuse
- Describe risk factors
- Understand roles and responsibilities when raising a safeguarding concern
- Be aware of the National and local context of safeguarding.
