East Sussex launch new sexual health website
East Sussex County Council and East Sussex NHS Heath Care Trust have developed a new sexual health website for the public and professionals.
The website brings together the full range of sexual health services that are available to people in East Sussex. This includes: self-test kits for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) including HIV(available via the internet) and services from community pharmacy, general practice, other community based support services and the specialist sexual health services in the hubs and spokes.
The website contributes to the council vision to improve access to sexual health services ensuring that everyone can access services that are local and appropriate to their needs. The new website front page aims to guide users to the nearest appropriate service to meet their needs.
The website also includes public information, as well as a section for professionals and service providers. This includes information on:
- Public health local service agreements for general practice and community pharmacy
- Patient pathways and referrals for specialist services
- Access to patient information leaflets and resources
- Training available for clinicians
We encourage you to use and promote the website to be the first point of access for sexual health services for the public and professionals.
