East Sussex Health Promotion Resource Service Evaluation

East Sussex Health Promotion Resource Service Evaluation

Your views matter – get involved in helping to evaluate the East Sussex health promotion resource service

As part of our whole systems transformation programme, East Sussex Better Together (ESBT), and as part of joint
working in the west of the county through Connecting4You (C4Y), we are working to transform how we support
people to make changes to their lifestyles to improve their health and wellbeing.

A key part of this is enabling staff and volunteers across a wide range of organisations and sectors to incorporate
prevention and health promotion advice and information into their roles.

To support this crucial work we currently provide access to health promotion resources such as posters and leaflets,
and loan equipment such as teaching aids, through the East Sussex Health Promotion Resource Service.

We want to make sure that health promotion resources continue to meet the needs of staff and organisations who
currently, or could in future, use them.  To help us understand the health promotion resource needs of colleagues in
East Sussex we have commissioned Delta Public Health Consulting to undertake this work.

We’re asking everyone whose role includes promoting health to get involved, and help us to make sure that we
shape the service to meet the needs of you and your colleagues

If you are a professional, practitioner or volunteer with promoting health as part of your role, we want to hear your views.

There are various ways that you can get involved:

  1. Take the online survey. This should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete. Your views will
remain anonymous and we will not ask for any information that will identify you beyond your
broad professional/practitioner group, and the type of organisation you work with. If you opt to
join a focus group, an email address will be sought within the online questionnaire; however this
will not be linked with your survey responses.

The online survey is open now and closes at midnight Wednesday 8th February 2017

  1. Participate in a focus group. We have arranged focus groups to gather more in-depth information.
Focus groups will take place in a range of locations across the county:

17th February 2017, Robertsbridge, 11:30

17th February 2017, Hastings, 15:00

20th February 2017, Lewes, 10:00

20th February 2017, Uckfield, 13:00

21st February 2017, Eastbourne, 12:00

Please click the link next to your preferred date. We will then confirm details to you.  Focus groups will be an
opportunity to have a short in depth discussion in a multi-disciplinary group and will take no longer than 90

  1. Design Workshop

This is a half day event on 6th March in Eastbourne and will be an opportunity to listen to feedback from the
survey and focus groups and shape some recommendations for the future. Places at this important workshop
are limited so please register your interest by clicking on the link below.

Participation is of course entirely voluntary and we won’t identify the views of individuals in any report
produced from the evaluation.

We would like to gain insight from as many people as possible, so please pass this invitation on to your
