Care for the Carers is committed to valuing diversity and is an equal opportunities employer. We have a number of measures in place to support the carers in its employment including carers leave. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce.

There are approximately 66,000 unpaid carers in East Sussex, looking after a relative or friend who could not manage without their help. Carers’ own health and wellbeing often suffers as a result of their caring role
