‘Keeping Children Safe’ social media toolkit

‘Keeping Children Safe’ social media toolkit

East Sussex Public Health and partners are delighted to announce the launch a social media toolkit to:

help raise awareness of unintentional injuries in East Sussex among professionals and the public (focusing on families)

make it easy for you to take action and raise the issue with families, and;

provide engaging information about the simple steps everyone can take to help prevent unintentional injuries to children.

Each month over the next year there will be a new theme including content that can easily be used as a conversation starter with families, along with ready-made social media posts and newsletter articles.  Content on ‘safe sleep’, ‘keeping safe with kids and pets’ and ‘preventing falls’ is available now, with future content to be updated on a regular basis.

Whilst social media content is often linked to national campaigns (e.g. Safer Sleep Week); many social media posts are suitable for use anytime of the year (e.g. safe sleep content can be posted throughout the year and not just in March).

 You can access the social media toolkit through Health Promotion Resources East Sussex and to build this into your ongoing communications plans.
