Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers?

Care for the Carers is seeking to recruit a skilled Carer Support Worker to provide support and advice to carers across East Sussex, primarily working within the Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG area.

Our team of Carer Support Workers work across a range of community settings, with office space being provided at Care for the Carers’ office in Eastbourne.

The role involves providing one-to-one support to carers by phone and face-to-face, facilitating carers groups, and joint working with our partners in the NHS, Adult Social Care and the voluntary sector.

The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with excellent IT and organisational skills. Experience of working in the community will be a distinct advantage, as is experience of advocating on behalf of vulnerable clients. An understanding of carers’ needs and rights is essential.

As you will be required to travel within East Sussex, being a car driver is essential. This post is subject to a DBS check.
