Call for projects: Hastings Borough Council are now inviting Stage 1 (Expression of Interest) applications for CHART CLLD Funding
Connecting Hastings and Rother Together (CHART) is a Community-led Local Development Programme with access to some £2.8m of European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) to support projects that bring a fresh approach to tackling deep-rooted problems in deprived communities within Hastings and Bexhill. It is particularly focused on:
- Helping disadvantaged people to find and keep work locally
- Helping disadvantaged people to start a business or set up as self-employed
- Stimulating the local economy to create jobs suitable for local people
This Call is issued by Hastings Borough Council on behalf of the Connecting Hastings and Rother Together (CHART) Local Action Group. It invites Stage 1 (Expression of Interest) applications for CHART funding from European Regional Development Fund and European Social Fund for England 2014 to 2020.
This call opens on 28 June 2018 and will prioritise projects with a total project value of £1m.
This is the first of two calls. The second will take place in the Spring of 2019, dependant on funding available.
If your organisation or partnership is interested in applying for CHART funding for your project, we would suggest you take the following steps:
Step 1: Read the “Call for Projects”, Expression of Interest Form Guidance, Frequently Asked Questions found at www.hastings.gov.uk/chart/apply and relevant sections of the Grant Recipient Handbook for your funding stream.
Step 2: Make a note of any questions or comments you may have. You can either contact the CHART Programme Team to discuss them (firstname.lastname@example.org) or book a slot at one of our CHART Applicant open sessions on a Tuesday 11:00 – 13:00.
Step 3: Complete your Expression of Interest form and return it to the CHART Programme Team by the closing date.
