Big Event 2018: Safeguarding and Community Safety: Roles of the Voluntary Sector

Big Event 2018: Safeguarding and Community Safety: Roles of the Voluntary Sector

Thursday 13th September 9am-4pm

International Tennis Centre, Eastbourne

This year’s Big Event will be focusing on safeguarding and safety in our East Sussex communities. Highlighting key developments and issues, and exploring what our organisations can do to address dangerous behaviours, support victims, and alleviate risks. The event will cover both adults and children, and the work that both statutory and voluntary organisations do. In our conversations across the day we will seek to identify ways in which our organisations and sectors can work more effectively together to keep our communities safe. We hope you will join us to bring your knowledge and experiences to the day, and be part of learning together across the county!

As always, our annual Big Event includes an advice fair, conference presentations, breakaway workshops, as well as a delicious lunch and plenty of time to network and connect!

Further details of conference presentations and workshops will be announced nearer to the event. Follow us on Twitter @SpeakUpForum or check our website www.speakupforum.org.uk to keep up to date with the latest exciting developments!

Whether you are in the Voluntary and Community Sector or the public or private sectors, working in organisations big or small, we would be delighted for you to join us for this year’s SpeakUp Big Event. It is free to participate but due to limited space, you must register before the event.
